yes sir

instead of opening separate windows and lining up the stats, it'd be nice to check mark a few to see what one I like best. for example Skylines

what one is the best of the 4 late models (R32, 33, 34, 35)

Base Skyline
N1
V-spec II
etc etc etc

I mean I guess I can just open up multiple windows but that's annoying

Kerr, thanks for the GT5 update! Most of the things are working fine, but there are a few (very) minor bugs:

1. If you press enter at the Quick Car Search, there is a number of errors listed up the top and it says no cars found, even if you see some before pressing enter. This appears to not be limited to GT5, but other versions as well.

2. This is a bit crazy, but you have forgotten to change the heading up the top from "GT4 Car List" to "GT5 Car List" Stick Out Tongue Big Grin Only for GT5...

On that note, yes I noticed that if I did a search for just Skyline it would list them before hitting search, and if I searched it would say no cars found.

Someone said that they couldn't use this site on their portable device (Nintendo DS), while I responded basically, BLAH!, well I'm on my 3G Slide, only on data and no Wifi, yeah takes 3 seconds to load the next page and 10 seconds to load this message but, are u kidding me? There's no need for a pd version of this...

Which browser? I don't see any errors. I do see zero results after hitting Enter though, so I'll look at that.

Good observation. It's on a very, very long list of things I'd like to get done, but real life gets in the way.

SUPER! You added the "Tranny Trick" in "Transmission" though the "No" doesn't show up by default in the submitted completion but no real need to fix it...

Couple OCD things about the list though that don't really need to be taken care of:

Mostly alignment stuff...

Down Force is not aligned
Tranny and Tranny Trick are not aligned
half of the Drive-train is out of whack
Suspension Kit looks good where it is and doesn't need to be moved (Though it could be aligned) but the type is screwed
and finally Brake Balance Controller is off if you use suspension to line it up but Brakes gets thrown off but are align within it's own box

Again, nothing NEEDS to be fixed, I am lucky you even made the section to fast....

On the subject of What browser, I use Mozilla Firefox and my steps to the error of no cars is

GTVAULT.COM
Quick Car Search "Car" (Let's say Skyline)
Enter button
"No Cars Found"

BUT if I do this...

GTVAULT.COM
Quick Car Search "Car" (Let's say Skyline)
it then lists:
Blitz Dunlop ER34 Skyline '07
Mine's BNR34 etc, etc, etc

So, if you don't hit enter, you can see the cars

I let you know that I added Tranny Trick about a week ago. Maybe the e-mail notification didn't get to you.

The blank phenomenon exists on setups entered prior to me adding "Tranny Trick" at your request. That field is null for those setups, and I didn't want to make any assumptions / read the Notes text and manually change setups that were already in the database. People tend to get bent out of shape when data they entered "magically" changes. I also felt it was a bit of an edge case, not worthy of creating a mass notification e-mail that would likely get ignored anyway.

The short story on alignment is: what you see is as designed. I'm surprised you didn't infer that from the relationships between what is aligned further left vs. further right.

The long story: (since your OCD'ness will appreciate that I already thought about these things)

Draghon wrote:
Down Force is not aligned

Downforce is, in 90% of cases, subordinate to the existence of a Wing being installed, and is intentionally placed a few pixels to the right of GT Auto - Wing to signify that relationship. Race cars are an exception, but they're exactly that.

Draghon wrote:

Gear settings are subordinate to the existence of a Fully Customizable transmission, and so are aligned a few pixels to the right for the same reasons as the Downforce example above. Actually, now that I think of it, "Tranny Trick" should also be at the same level as the individual gears, as it too is reliant upon a Fully Customizable transmission.

Draghon wrote:

Again, all "out of whack" fields are subordinate to the first preceding item that is aligned further left.

Draghon wrote:

Again, alignment is by design. I do see a curly brace closing Dampers (Compression}, so I'll fix that. I've no idea what you mean by "but the type is screwed".

Draghon wrote:

Again, by design. Brake Balance Controller must be on a car in order for the Brake Balance to be adjusted. This is mainly a holdover from GT4, as I have yet to encounter a car in GT5 that does not have one. I could've made the assumption that every car would have a Brake Balance Controller installed by default. However, I have seen with every game that PD will throw some surprises / bugs at you when you least expect it.

Thanks... now how about posting some setups? Smile

Regarding browsers and Quick Car Search: I was asking comcats about which browser he was using, because he stated there were a number of errors listed at the top after hitting Enter. That specific thing doesn't happen for me in any browser, just the "No Cars Found" issue, which is on the list of things to be fixed.

That's what I figured - sometimes they don't go through. Angry

I spent some time lining all that stuff up as it is, but I can see how it might be confusing since there isn't a visual indicator (e.g. a border) to otherwise indicate grouping in those complicated areas like Drivetrain.

Sorry, I've been out of the mix for a while. All I need to know of Fumes is back in the mix & when you'll change the site's GUI for GT5.

Otherwise, thanks for all the effort, Kerr!
