THIS IS A GT5 SETUP FOR THE ELISE 111R (non RM).

I've attempted to fix the Elise's behavior of loosing the rear end under braking.
It's a lot more controllable now without compromising on the maneuverability of the Elise.

Please use these settings for the non RM Elise 111R in GT5.

Downforce = 0/15
Transmission = 280kph or 174mph
LSD = 8/40/30
Ride height = -20/-19
Spring rates = 10.0/7.0
Shock (ext) = 7/7
Shock (comp) = 7/6
Anti Roll Bar = 5/3
Camber = -1.6/-1.5
Toe = 0/0
Brakes = 5/4

Please test against any previous setups and let me know if it has improved the "Brake + turn = oversteer" behavior. I tested this at Deep Forest. The 1st corner was perfect for testing this behavior.

Hi

You've been my favorite tuner since GT3. I'm so happy to see you're still posting tunes. Will you be staying on GTVault? Please LMK if there is somewhere else I can find your work and if you will be taking requests.

Also, how closely do you think the older cars in GT5 will match your GT4 tunes?

Thanks a lot.

PS: Feel free to respond here or via email. An email address should be available for others to see in my profile.

Hi Evo,
I'm staying on GT Vault for the moment. But it's getting harder posting up tunes for cars that are not listed on the template here in GTVault.
I'm looking at possible options at posting tunes in GTPlanet, but the forum style makes for a very difficult time in finding tunes for cars. GTVault still does it better in that respect.

As for GT4 tunes matching GT5, it's a matter of trying it for individual cars. A lot of cars available on GT4 is also in GT5. Just remember that shocks bound and rebound are labelled differently in GT5. But there might be further fine tuning required for GT5 after porting over the tunes for GT4.

See you around.

I agree that GTVault is more direct and simple to use but is there any chance that it will be running again?

If I can offer a suggestion if you are to move to GTplanet, I recommend it sooner than later. I think what happened in the Forza 3 community is that tuning groups were formed and the earliest ones to form were ultimately the most well known. It is still early in GT5's life so you would have an easier time of breaking through and gaining notoriety particularly among those who were unfamiliar with GTVault.

Then again, I'm sure you're aware of all of this and I'm honestly not really deep into the online communities. I'll keep an eye out here and hope that it updates one day.

Unfortunately the answer is no. Not in the near future.

Sites like this, which is simply a wiki, and others that do not do an accurate job of representing the tuning model, are actually a bit of an inspiration to take up the effort.

I've been playing a bit more GT5 of late, and the fact that things are starting to stabilize is a good thing in my view. I haven't seen any major changes to the tuning model since individual gear ratios were introduced, but I could be wrong on that point.

Great tune, Fumes. Used this setup for the bone stock Autozam AZ-1 I ran in the Lightweight K-cup seasonal event. Wasn't happy with any of the tunes I found specifically for this car and love how this tune irons-out some of the tendency to go sideways in every corner without completely changing the car's nature. Careful steering inputs are still required but make for a great drive and enjoyable replays.

Glad to see you are still tuning, I have been using www.consoleracer.com for categorizing my tunes. The community doesn't seem to be as active as gtvault; however, the webmaster seems to keep it up to date with the GT5 updates.

Nice website pepo774.
I like the clean modern look. But still prefer to see all the settings on one screen.
But still some tips can be learnt from that site to freshen up GT Vault, if and when Kerr decides to add GT5.

Hey Fumes,

I haven't tried this setup yet, will do in the near future. Cuold you have a look at my 111R setup I just posted, it's for the Lotus expert challenge and I managed to win it with this setup so I must have done something right. Smile
Feedback from you would be apreciated.

Thamks Zeratul.

Hi Fumes,

I'm not one for writing reviews but I must say thanks for your tune on the 111R. I used your setup for the expert event at Taskuba and took 1st on my first try after numerous failed attempts . The setup is well balanced and neutral,giving the driver total control.The car handles great, with just the right amount of power oversteer and razor sharp turn in, its a pleasure to drive. Nod WELL DONE!! Thumbs Up

Yes it still applies, except for the different names used for Shock extension and compression in GT5.

GT4 called these Shock bound and rebound.

Thanks for the reply!, i tried to tune the CLK-GTR the other day but,it seems the game is now more complex than before.
By any chance do you already have a setup for this car(stock)?,i would like to push it hard in la sarthe.Would mention your name in the vid of course,if you dont feel like to,i would understand just a humble request.

Thank you.

After reading though the RX-7 GT4 tuning challenge, I felt bad for leaving you out of that. The challenge now is on GT5 under Challenger SRT8 '08. It is the Ford Mustang '07 versus the Challenger SRT8 '08. The rules are there and I hope to see you there man.
Have fun while you race others. If you don't why are you racing in the first place?

Hey Fumes, your Motor Sports Elise setup was by far my favorite car to use in GT4. I've been aching to use it in Gt5, but until it shows up in the used car lot I've been trying to apply settings to the RM of the 111R. Any help on making this similar?
