This is my setup for the Family Cup section of Leg 2 of adeadsnipermatt/DjWess's LeMans challenge of June '10.
The tricky part of this leg was the trying to get a 950hp car around the 42Km of the nurburgring on 1 set of tires. Meaning i had to run R3/R2 tires, and softening the rear suspension while running TCS at 7.
Unlike most other family cup races, this is one where brielfy going off road or spinning doesn't seem lik esuch an issue, as a 2'30 race that is a much larger % of the total time. Despite this, the best results are achieved while running at 110% and not crashing, which is a mean feat for 11 mins straight, Its not possible to be at a qualifying pace for so long without making an error, but when you do, the tenths add up to seconds, and over 2 laps nearly 10.
My best run was set after the effects of an oil change wore off, meaning I had less horsepower, but also less tire wear over the course of the race, provinding better grip/accleration and braking in the back half of the race, allowing me to set a 11'25.140, a full 30 seconds off the winner (DjWess)'s time, but then again, Dj IS an expert of the 'N'.
