Stage2/Week2 - tune

Color = Stock
Rims = Stock
Wing = Stock

This was almost a direct number for number copy of my Tune for the '03..The real trick is how you drive the track..Keeping momentum.. and know the pivot point of that in the car will keep you faster..

ALSO used for ..

Rims = Stock
Wing = Stock

This is very close in number to this tune with slight changes for the George V Track..With these numbers changing only..

Front Shocks 1, 1
Front Camber 2.6
Rear Toe Angle -2
Rear Initial Torque 60
Front LSD-Acceleration 60

I could only manage a 2'19.380.
This is nothing against you, my tune got me to 2'19.8, so your tune is most certainly better than mine, seeing as I only did a few runs.
Its a bit disapointing to not find 2 seconds a lap, but what can you do. Your tune was better than mine, however yours seems to have issues with low speed cornes - ie, the hairpin, it could be my raing line, but it didn't work to well. Otherwise it was better...

Okay oh hairpin.. probably what is happening is your hard on the brake on approach and you stay on it to try to get grip then by the time you do and hit the accelerator.. your way off..

I run through the first turn sideways. try not to brake..first lap is harder to pull off that way and usually not the best because you don't have enough momentum built up..ANYWAY.. run wide open from there..trying to jump square to minimize your time in the air and not to pull down on the car's output. wide open.. then brake, setup, and full accel through that turn, barely catching enough tract to turn and full accel through the next.( no brake..may be a tap if you need it ). Come up the hill which has two 'turn ins'.. first left and the right side. ( you should be as straight as possible but creates an issue if your not.).the last of which you should be turning the car and braking long before almost to follow the angle of the 'turn in' ) so that you are turning in just as you pass the beginning to the two hairpins..the first corner..You get sideways..then stay wide open which will almost put you facing 180 degrees from when you come out of the turns..about a car link from the apex of the second hairpin.. you should let off the accelerator.. be hard right on the wheel..and full accel this should throw you back around sideways again.. wide open..looking directly at the apex of the second hairpin..stay in it and you slide just enough around the turn to come out facing exactly as you need to be.. to run for the next turn..before the entry and next drop in elevation.. you should have hit your brakes enough to work the car a little sideways but enough to stay wide open all the way around..and close but not too close to the inside..which should allow you come out straight ahead for the next run..you don't come up off the accelerator at all until the last two turns where you tap the brake going in .. and thrown the car back the other direction..You then again are almost the opposite direction you need to be in for the first turn in the lap..but braking stay in that way.. and hard on the wheel to the left, full accel again which should throw you back around and you should ride the slope and hard part of the turn wide open full accel .. sideways...You make it through there alot faster that way..it also means you faster approaching the top of the hill for the jump so make sure your setup correctly..

Anyway.. thats how I ran it.. maybe it will help .. maybe not.. ( LOL especially if you can follow any of that..)

Hmm.. the way you did it markusXO was basically the way i did. Like the first corner, i mainly went sideways around there and just accelerated away. The part of the track i found most difficult was the hairpins and the really long turn at the end. Was those parts hard for you?

Not really hard..but hard to nail with consistency.. the same way.. then I kind of started to get into the groove.. and get my race line, and track like I wanted and then the seconds started to drop off..I probably could have driven it a little more and tweaked/pulled a little more out of it..getting used t the car setup differently and behaving differently was something else too..so it was a few elements.. but I am trying to keep them kind of how they are setup ..per week..I thin it was awkward for me as there usually is not a track that I don't know well.. this was a track I know well.. but different..
