Nitrous is optional @ 50. But I didn't used it. This should get you inbetween 150-200 A-Spec Points IF YOU drive clean on nurburing. BUT with nos the time is only 6'40'000.
Tranny Trick if you want to, its optional but a must for most le mans cars aka the freakin AMG CLK-GTR. The real name is AMG CLK-LM.
Might consider this car for the 24 hours Du Mans in nurburing.

This is my goal for the weekend. I am going to test this on Sunday, and by the looks of some of the suspension settings this is going to be fantastic. Have you tuned this for DS2 or a wheel, I only just got a wheel so I'll test on DS2 and the wheel later when I can actually drive with it. I'll report back then most likely vote.

I did it on both the DS3 contoller aka PS3 and the DFP wheel.
My next project is on the JGTC versions of the Honda NSX's. Project JG32.
What track, I don't know.

Dj, which race did you enter at the Nurburgring which yielded the A-spec points? In other words, was the setup created for a particular race, or rather for lapping/time attack?

Without any changes at all to the stock racing suspension, the car is not seen in replay to make sparks from the undercarriage, nor does it fail to make haste through all the usual scary places and ride all the usual curbs. So it is a very good car to begin with.

Although I make no claims to be a Nurburgring specialist, or to have any great experience or tuning credentials, I found the changes you made to be appropriate. You raised the ride height, softened the front relative to the rear, and other changes seeming intended to reduce understeer. For my driving style, this improved turn-in, improved tire life and seemed to make the car a bit more forgiving, so I give it high marks.

I agree with you. This 320i race car really didn't need to be tuned from its stock suspension really. But it was done in order to soak up the bumbs here and there. This car was used in arcade mode of nurburing, Family cup, Going to try it out for the 24 hours or the ring, and time attack trials. What race I did this in, I had forgotton. Sorry for the no help there but I'll try to find out exactly what event I'd enter to get those a-spec points again. Its a good thing that you always write down your setups before putting them on the internet.

WOW!!
The car felt perfect, not a blemish. I was doubtful at the 0 TCS with my driving but it was fine.
On my second lap I only got to 7'06:667, but the car felt so much better than that, I guess I can't drive around the ring, but then again that is fast enough to win the 24 hour race.
Were you drafting down the last straight? I didn't get close to teh rev. limiter. (500-1000 revs)
Great job DJ - you have my vote Thumbs Up

Thanks for the vote and yes I'd drafted on the back straigh of nurburing or section 11 to be more on the point.

Explains why the final gear was so long, I only tested on free run but man did that car feel SO quick, it felt better than the stock FGT round the 'ring, then again the FGT is very twitchy and out of control half the time. Still need to use it in arcade and family cup mode, although if I do do the 5 lap arcade version, I may as well do the 24 hours.
Do you know how many A-spec this gets for the 24 hours? Against what opposition and with what tires/ballast to get there - (for 200 you may need ballast).
StigsTC.

185-199 a-spec points lol on the 199 part they should of just gave me the extra point. and Dotini2001 I'd remember it was for not only the family cup but part A-spec and Part B-spec 24 hours on the ring. If you want the points go a full 24 hours which is not hard if you had both a ps2 and a ps3. but i recommend doing this on the PS3 without smoothing. With smooothing the tracks voulme like Rockstar were going down and back up every 40 laps.

Hey DJ,
You know Dotini2001 only a month ago did the 'ring 24 hours in the Suzuki GSX/R4 for 200 A-spec, aparently he won by 3 laps, if only...
What was your margin of victory on the family cup? If I am down 20 seconds a lap, you need to win by 40 for me to be even close.
How can you get ahead of the tuning game for GT5? It will be launched next year, but are the physics and tuning out of GT5P and GTHD the same or something?
My last question is: what are you changing on the car when you update the setup? you haven't put a post down with changes, or changed the notes under the setup, it would actually be handy to know how you have made the car faster or how you have fixed certain problems.
See you around,

I'd only repost these setups by email request, apparently in some form or way they know my email.
GTHD is the prolouge to GT5P, GTHD allows users to get a feel for a new GT5 by choice of ASM and TCS as well as tires and driving line(which I don't use). GT5 allows further tuning to more varitiy of cars such as a Ford GT tuned aka LM Spec 2. In shorter terms GTHD->GT5P->GT5
My margin of victory was by 30-35 seconds on the family cup and 5 laps 24 hour wise (did this on a ps2 and did the 5-day plan after weight room)
I'll also let you know first hand if something in the car is changed and updated.

GT5 will introduce D1 drifting or something on the lines of that, so thats a big advantage for people who post drift setups
They also made it to where if your drifting at a contollable speed, they'll give you some form of handling based on how much gas you put into it. For example on GT4 if you were to drift on accident you'll lose complete control. GTHD, GT5P and GT5 had that problem fixed but you have to control the drifting angle of the car.
There's more to talk about on this subject but it'll take about 3 pages
In short terms I'm preparing for the upcoming game this 2009 x-mas or early 2010
GT4 moble is said to come out this spring in April or in Summer of July

OK, now I understand what is going in regards to the upcoming GT5, it now makes sense when someone points out whats going on, it really shows I haven't done this for too long.
Victory for the family cup is borderline, I guess I'll have to do more laps then run the race next weekend.
Drifting will be interesting, seeing as I have no idea how to drift, or to tune for it, I am guessing it is going to be part of the main game, so you have to win the races for 100%, then again I can see it as a extra, not a set feature.
I think GT5 will be next year, these things are always late, too good to be on time...
Thank you for your knowledge on GT5, I guess I should try to keep myself up to date,

Hello DJ,
I only just saw your request of Sukerkin to test your setups, nothing wrong with that, but I can conclude it aids tuning and setup creation.
Over the last two months, we are the two most voted for tuners on GT vault.
And in the last 3 months we are 2nd and 3rd.
In the last 6 months we are in the top 5
In the last year we sit at 5th and 6th.
Not bad for two people who have been part of GT vault for less than 8 months combined. Unibrow
Just thought the stats might interest you.
