Hi Fumes
There is something funny here!!
The spring can only be adjusted to MAX 19 kgf/mm [12-20], and the ride height only 102 mm [95-100].

I'll double check that when I get home from work.

Nope,
It's an FF car, so driving characteristics are completely different. It will probably understeer more than the BMW and Altezza.

Hmm, didn't get around to checking the spring rate and ride height. Whatever it is, max out rear spring rates and adjust ride height to 5mm more at rear.

Finally done printing out all of your setups Fumes 8-P I figure since whenever I need a setup I always go strait to yours I might as well print out all 146 (as of 6/1/03). (Yes, you have aided me in the murder of many trees now. Tree-huggers be damned! Unless you're one, then I'm sorry I printed out all of your setups.)

I found myself going up and down the stairs between my PC and PS2 way way too often, then having to dail-up... etc. etc.... quite annoying. So I'm just gonna punch holes in them and stick them in a binder.

(The reason I'm doing this one last is because I'm doing them alphabetically, and if I start at the end and work my way backwards I don't have to put them all in order after the printer's done... it's currently on the Camaro Race Car. lol)

Anyway, love your setups, they are always great.

A lot of printing ...

No matter that - it's well invested paper !!!

I can easilly submit to a group of "kill the understeer" folks, that like and use Your setups. It's why GT cars were alweys more fun to drive for me than the real ones... Even though I had an opportunity to drive a lot of cars in the real life...

Good job Fumes - I'll build you an altar next to my PS2 :-))))

is it just me or does this setup seem really sluggish? (more than the car already is?)

The wide gear ratio especially ?

Wide gear ratio, ahh, but for which track?

I have always mentioned and will mention again that gear ratios need to be adjusted to suit the track. I have only got a generic track setup for this car, and gear ratios will only suit some tracks.

I am just trying to make this thing use its 455 HP and yet on the Amateur FF races I am getting blown away by a Civic Spoon and/or a New Beetle Cup car.

This thing has the HP to beat them, but it doesn't seem like it. What's your favorite FF car?

Hmm, you know what? Try changing the front spring rates to 7 and the rear to 19. Making the fronts softer to grip better during the accelerations and turns. Not sure why I have it harder in the front for this setup.

I'll have to revisit the Alfa setup. But try that for a start.

My favourite FF car would be between the FTO, Type-R or the Citreon Xsara rally car.
