A friend of mine asked for this setup because he drives this car in real life. As usual, gearing will need changing depending on the track.

Excellent setup, you can really throw this Hot hatch about and even get the tail sliding around, but all very controlable, nicely balanced as well!makes it a very fun FF car to drive with virtually no understeer,I like!!!!!!! If only all FF's were like this!

Ride Height?

Hey Fumes,

I just have a quick question about the ride height in your setup. It seems that I cannot set the car up any lower then 99 for the front and rear heights. Could you just clarify that your ride height is correct.

I am currently using 99 in front and 107 in the rear. I find that the car understeers a lot during highspeed cornering. I am running the 2hr enduro on the Rome circuit and find that the highspeed right hand turns are a problem. Any recommendations would be helpful.

I'm not in front of the PS2 to check but 100/105 should do, if 99 is the lowest.

If you are understeering at high sppeds, try reducing the rear camber to 0.5 and increase the rear stabilizer to 4.

I'm not in front of the PS2 to check out the settings change and it's affect.
So your feedback will be good.

A slight change in driving habits for FF cars might help too, lift off on the gas when cornering and then floor it when the car is pointing straight down the track after the turn.

Thanks for replying,

Indeed you are correct. I just hadn't updated the post because the site was down.

While I was racing the enduro I slowly adapted. It had just been so long since I'd raced an FF car. I was able to almost completely eliminate the understeer simply by letting off the throttle and minimizing my steering input so as to not turn the wheels too much.

I guess we can chalk the ride hieght difference up to geographical sensitve PS2s.

Thanks, and keep up the good work.
