Let me know what you think.

I would like to conduct an experiment. Anyone interested? Everyone try their own NSX setting and compare race times of 3 courses (midway, laguna, and apricot hill). Everyone must use medium tires and the same generic gearing that I have posted for all 3 courses (and must use the castrol mugen nsx). I would like to see how different driving styles and setups effect times. I wanted to try this after testing fumes Arta NSX setup. I loved it on midway but not on apricot hill, but I'm also not a drift racer. So i was just curious which style is the fastest, or see if they are equal. Then see which tunning is the best.

NSXFreak,

I'm impressed by your setup handles realy well!

And I'll take up your challenge I've tested on Laguna only (a track that I hate) the others will follow soon.

At a first look on your setup I thought it would be my setup than the setup by fumes (wich I use as a base for my settings) and than yours, boy was I wrong!

So with your setup I got a 1:14.146 with AMS and a 1:13.249 without AMS

My setup gave a 1:14.239

Fumes' setup gave a 1:16.116

So I say again I'm impressed

Greetz Zeratul.

And keep this in mind bang means stop splash means water collor between the lines and keep the pollished side up than you'll be ok LOL.

Midfield and Apricot Hill times

Midfield times for:

My setup: 1:03.863

Your setup with AMS 1:03.954 and without AMS 1:02.914

Fumes' setup 1:03.637

Apricot Hill times for:

My setup: 1.11.272

Your setup with AMS 1:11.379 and without AMS 1:12.597

Fumes' setup 1:11.792

It seems your setup has difficulties with the quick direction changes in the first sector of Apricot Hill, it gets very unstable there.

midway and laguna times

Hey thanks for the feedback zeratul. As soon as I read your post I went and tried my setup with and without ASM. My times were slightly faster with ASM. I guess that just highlights a difference in the way we drive. Well I must say your car handles very very well. I got some very good times with your setup. I want to try it though with the brake ballance higher. I personally like to brake harder and shorter. I think I can get equal or better times with your setup if I increase breaking. Okay here are the times I recorded:

NSXfreak setup:
midway 1'02.271
laguna 1'12.428

zeratul setup:
midway 1'03.030
laguna 1'12.618 so close!

fumes setup:
midway 1'03.932
laguna 1'13.866

I think Fumes has a different driving style based on our results. I would like to see his times because I think they would be better than what I got. Okay apricot hill is next.

I'll let you know.
That setup for the NSX I posted is almost 2 years old.
I have to revisit it for an update.

My setup was a little jumpy on the first part of this course. I got a 1'14.572. I dropped the front and rear stabilizers by 1 and scored a 1'12.343.

Zeratuls setup was almost identical with a 1'12.349. I increased the camber by one on both front/rear and got a 1'11.329!! Nice setup.

I had to go to work so I didnt get a chance to try fumes' setup.

By doing this I descoved a glitch. This is way cool, and I've never seen it on the web. I bought a new Castrol Mugen NSX and did the oil change trick which bumped it up to 1001hp. I noticed that every time I ran a lap and loaded new settings my hp would go up by either one or two hp, depending on how many laps I did. As far as I can tell you can just keep increasing hp with no limit.

hey i used fumes set up on all the tracks and this is wat i got

Laguna: 1'11.867

Midfield: 1'02.787

Apricot: 1'08.361...this track was one of the funnest for me but i could of done better but i got tired so this my offical time...it could make a better time but 6th geard tops out around the starting line on the straight so it keeps bumpin me down a 2mph and repeats that till i break

fumes set up worked excellent for me.... ihavn't got a chance to try zeratul or nxsfreaks yet but im gonna try to test them out sometime this week and ill post those times

Glad to be of help it seems you would out run me bigtime! LOL

Could you be of help to me? Since we seem to have simmilar driving styles could you have a look at my setup for the Skyline GT-R V-spec II(R34,J) and see if you can make any improvements. I'm kinda stuck with it.

Thanks and greetz
