I'm excited about this car ! It handles great. If anyone likes the Lotus Motor Sport Elise, then this car is a MUST.
Both have the same power, and handles the same. Makes for a great two player battle. Might even handle slightly better than the Lotus.
Was getting 1:09 at Midfield.
Try it out !!!!

i've tested a stock m.s. elise v.s a stock vx220 (speedster) on complex string and both did 5.15's but the vx220 makes do with 50 less hp despite being heavier. the speedster is actually built on a lotus chassis so there you go. just by the way the 22b wrx does 5.05's stock. both cars behave like true mr's, very light at the front but sticking like crap at the rear brilliant.

Cool. Always thought the VX220 was a bit of a sleeper for it's class.
Would be good to see you you guys can get in Midfield. Just for a comparison.

I have problems with the handling, it is WAY too sensitive, and I spin out at almost every single turn. I'm not new at this game, I've been playing it for a while, but I'm not an expert player either. I find myself constantly braking at the corners, like tapping it constantly unti I'm outta the curve, which isn't normal at all. I have everything upgraded, used your tuning setup, and slapped on super-soft tires.

Strange, the car doesn't have enough power to get you into as much trouble as you seem to be having.

But, if you'd like, try to increase TCS to 4, and see if that's better for you.

Fumes,

With the brakes at 5/3 and downforce at 20/30 this setup is perfect for the speedster turbo in GT4. So one car less to retune.

Greetz Zeratul.
Fast is on the edge of control.

GT4 at 99.4% guess where I'm stuck at?

Having problems too...

I originally bought the Speedster Turbo, but then I found that the regular Speedster is over 150kg lighter stock, so I figure the less than 10% power loss is worth the nearly 20% weight reduction I get. But I also find this car to be really peaky, almost drifting through the turns...I'm obviously referring now to GT4 since I mentioned the Turbo, but anyway, when at Suzuka, I can't even grip the first turn really...I just lose grip and understeer off the course at the first turn...I tried lowering the stabilizer in the front since I thought your values might be a bit high, but I'm still getting abrupt traction loss when turning, and it's especially troublesome when I have an S-curve or other 1-2 setup of corners to attack...I'll try Zeratul's brake settings and downforce, but it is quite troubling, especially since I got the Speedster so I could win the Calibra so I could compete in the Deutsche Touring Car Championship...

I ended up lowering the front springs to 11, and lowered the stabilizers to 3/4, and that helped a bit, but I'd still go wide/understeery on corners, particularly ones where you have to sacrifice the optimum line on the first corner in order to properly negotiate the second one...I dunno what the problem is, and it's definitely a big one for me...

Speedster cornering at suzuka.

TheWushuDrift,

I'll give it a go.
Give me some time to buy the speedster and tune on Suzuka.
Just off hand, what brake settings are you using. Try 9 front and 7 rear.

I find the brake values in GT4 to be a lot more sensitive than GT3.

Fumes,

What kind of HP on the speedster is this setup on? What are your thoughts about an LSD? Not heavy enough to merit? Anyway, thus far another great setup, I feel like im cheating on my Elise...

Speedster Handles way better then the Elise. You can ride the egde of the track wihtout losing it. Don't get me wrong I love the Elise, its fun to drive. But for racing, Speedster all the way.

Fumes, Love the set up thanks! Smile

This car has about 366hp.
The car is too light and underpowered to need LSD.
A little TCS will fix any problems.
