Very, very fast car. Surprisingly low amount of wheelspin at low speeds.

Auto Set

You aren't getting any wheelspin at low speeds because the auto set is way up. I have my 787B set up with a final gear ratio of 3.100 and set the auto set at around 34, and adjust the auto set to individual tracks. I always raise the final gear ratio whenever I have the max amount of HP and lower the auto set. This helps the car take maximum advantage of the transmission gears, thus making more use of the HP and torque of the engine for each track. For example, my Nismo 400R set-up for Tahiti Maze has the final gear ratio higher than I would normally set it, and the auto set lower because of the very short straightaways that Tahiti Maze has.

Nomeite,

I know the gears are a bit wide. But remember, this car has only 5 gears ( and nearly 1000HP. ). I tried to set it lower than it is now before, but then the 787B reached it's top speed before the end of the straightway ( on tracks with a decent straightway. ). And i normally never touch the final gear ratio, i mostly leave the gears up to the people who want to use my setups.

Suprafly,

I don't know, i haven't drove this car on a 0-400m time trial. I'll check out tomorrow ( if you want to know the results? ).

Hey Suprafly, i drove the 787B on the 0-400m sprint last night, here are the results ( don't forget, i didn't changed the settings. ):

Automatic gearing: 0'09.789,

after a quick manual try: 0'09.695.

Yeah, I know the 787B has only 5 gears. There are 3 or 4 other cars in GT3 that has 5 gears: The GT40 Road, the GT40 Race(if I remember right) and I think the XJ220's had a 5 gear ratio transmission.

Are you sure about the XJ220? I thought this one had 6. But you're probably right, though.

not bad, but i thought that it would have been quicker since you said it's "very, very, fast". anywho, it's about the same thing i got awhile back when i used to tune it.

XJ220s

I just checked the vehicle settings for the two XJ220s, and they both are 5 speed transmissions. I used to have both of these cars, but I accidently saved over a game that was 100% complete. Talk about major bummer.

Suprafly,

I was talking about the track ( it does can reach amazing speeds, though. ), i haven't tested the acceleration before you asked about it. When it's on the track, this car is only a couple of seconds away from the F1's lap times.

Nomeite,

I always thought they both had 6 gears... Oh, that must have hurt your feelings Smile. My friend oversaved my game once. He bought 2 F1's ( 4.000.000 each. ) from his garage and then saved the data on my memory card.... I only had 8.000.000 left...
