I can't exactly remember what engine upgrades i bought for it, or what horsepower it has. I only know it was somewhere around 740. Set TCS at 3 for faster lap times and 4 for better control over the car.

Haha, really? I don't think i like the car as much as most people. I actually like a DB7 or V8 Vantage better. It's kind of odd, almost all people think it's a wonderfull vehicle. I seriously don't see why. Most of Austin Martin's models share the same front. I think that's why i don't like it that much. I think this manufacturer needs a new line of models, these are getting old. And maybe, Chevy, maybe.... You'll get one in the future, let me know when you've bought one Wink,

Well the Aston Martin's on the game do look alot alike; but if you get some actual pictures of the Vanquish and the DB7, you will realize that they look similar but are very different. Take a look at the two sometime and tell me what you think.

I actually think they are both pretty much the same, but the Vanquish only has a more 'futuristic' look. I don't like these 2 models the best. I like the V8 Vantage more. You probably like the Vanquich best, am i right?

Well, I will agree with you, until I really looked at the both of them in pictures, I thought they were pretty much the same. But the Vanquish has alitte more musclar lines to it. And you can't ever go wrong with a V12. But I wouldn't mind having either one!

If I had the 230,000 to buy one I would much rather buy a 50,000$ 2002 Electron blue Corvette Z06, a ( now worth ) 65,000 1995 corvette ZR1, and a brand new Mercedes for my future....way future my god I'm 14 and 1/2....family lol

Not bad choices . . . I absolutely love the LT5 in the ZR-1. I would have to go with Corvette Yellow on both of them though. And really, I would prefer a M5 over a Benz, that's just me though.

we had a Corvette...it was a 1979 L82 4speed....That car would scoot...we took it to 136 one time! It was funny how much faster it was than the stock L48...It was 195 hp I think....ours was 225....my friend says that his standard 3 speed automatic 1975 vetee will outrun ours.....he says it'll go 150! Someone has given him false info. He also thinks his 2002 Galant ES will outrun our 2003 Grand Am GT...hello we have an additional 50 hp! and our car is made to run fast unlike his...w/e...lol just blowing off steam...it's kinda funny though

I'd definately know what i would buy for that money. Dodge Vipers, for sure. A used Viper GTS '96 is my first choise. With the cash left, i'd probably search for a GTS Final Edition. And, at least 1old Mopar muscle car. A 'Cuda Hemi RT '71 or a Charger RT '70 would be nice. But who knows? I could also come home with a brand new Mini S....

Rambling . . .

Well say if I had around 230,000, I would get myself a Porsche 911 (996) GT2 and a Porsche Boxster S. It's a touch over 230k, but oh well. The Boxster would be my daily driver and the GT2 would be my toy. But the GT2 would still get plenty of driving.

BTW, Dave, my dad saw a Viper getting on the highway on Thursday. He said it just took off and hit about 100 or something and then slowed back down. He also said the thing sounded awesome. I'm so jealous of not getting to hear it.

Now on the subject of this setup, it's not too bad . . . but the car is too freakin' heavy (IMO at least). It needs to go on a diet . . . lol. The car was a handful for me, but then again . . . I've been driving nothing but race cars and pretty much cars that handle beautifully (MSElise). So it may just be me not really in tune with driving a road car, but partially I blame the weight. FYI, the car has 782 horses fully tuned and that's with the Stage 3 NA Tune-Up.

*drools* . . . '71 Hemi 'Cuda . . . great muscle car . . . *thinks to self . . . couldn't touch one for under a 100k in mint condition* . . . *thought ruins dream* . . . everything I've read on the Mini Cooper S has just given the handling of the car praise, and also how fun it is to drive.

Ah, Porsches. I think most people would choose a porsche ( or 2 Porsches... ). Good speed, good looks, good handling ( not to forget the attention you'll get from other people. ). No minors. But, about the looks, i don't think Porsches are that special. I agree, their good looking, but i can't exactly call them beautifull.

That's fantastic! Dude, your dad is one lucky man. I only saw a Viper GTS '96 and a RT/10 '94 at a ( sort of. ) car-based theme park. They had a huge showroom full of high performance cars. And once when i was in the back of my uncle's car, my dad said: 'Dave, look, there's a Viper GTS'. So i of course didn't believe him. But i looked sideways and there it was, it was standing in front of a Jaguar dealer. It was awesome. The last time i saw one, was at An American Sunday at TT Assen. Muscle car everywhere, but i didn't expect to find a Viper, but i did. A Viper GTS '96 ( but it had a custom rear wing... i wasn't too exited about that. ) was standing between Chargers, Challengers, Mustangs, Corvette's, etc. I was so happy. But i didn't saw one since then... They're pretty rare here in Holland.

Exactly, this car is too heavy ( just like all other Aston Martins. ). The weight keeps pushing the car out of turns and ruins the accel and top speed. I was also only driving race cars for a long time, so, this car was a bit of a shock when i first drove it.

Ha, yes, the 'Cuda is a magnificent vehicle, especially the '71 model. Jeah, all people are exited about the new Mini. But for now, i don't think it's my thing...

Dave.

I like how the GT2 looks though, with the side intake and the rear wing . . . both of those look good on the car. And I just thought the Boxster would be a great daily driver to have. Gosh, I don't know how many Vipers I've seen though. I've seen a couple red RT/10s, a couple black RT/10s, one white with blue stripes RT/10, and a blue with white GTS. The blue with white Viper GTS was awesome, absolutely beautiful car and I had only caught a glimpse of it. I think it was fixin to run with a 'Vette on the street of course. Well the wing on the GTS-R isn't bad, but that's a whole different car. Vipers are pretty rare everywhere, you just don't see too many of them. The Hemi is probably the best engine ever made for just raw horsepower, I just wish I could get to hear one idle and then rev up . . . I don't even have to drive one or sit in it, I would just like to listen.

Yep, the Aston Martin's are heavy, more of a cruiser type car really.

I think Porsches are all kind of the same, just like Aston Martins. It isn't the best looking, when you compare it to most other supercars. But hey, who cares when you can own a car, capable of performing like a Porsche Smile. Dude, you really know how to make a car anthousiast jealous. Looks like there are more RT/10's than GTS's in America, am i right? It's just the opposite around here. I saw a RT/10 only once ( Viper red, by the way. ), but i saw the Blue/Wite Viper GTS 3 times. You're absolutely right, beautifull vehicle, truely amazing to look at ( not to forget the performance! ). And the modified GTS i saw, wasn't a GTS-R ( or GT2, wich you probably mean. ), it was just a '96 GTS, with only a rear wing put on it. It was quite dissapointing, why would you ruin a car like that ( how can you even think a cheap rear wing can make a Viper more beautifull than it already is? The wing didn't even had the dual wite stripes on it... )? HEMI's are ( on of. ) the best engines for sure! On An American Sunday ( the muscle car festival i told you about. ), people were drag racing, making donuts and doing burnouts all day long. Also with HEMI powered cars, that was heaven to me Smile. But i didn't hear the Viper, though... Oh well...

By the way, TheRat... What's that text about? I don't get it...

You can't access the text on therat post because it is off of his computer. And I meant the GTS-R just for comparison. The GT2 is a road car to commenerate the GTS-R's performance in racing. Actually, I think that the RT/10 numbers and GTS numbers are probably even, it's just you don't see as many GTSs in Oklahoma. I don't know about the Porsche comment though . . . the Carrera GT looks nothing like any other Porsches, and neither does the Cayenne. I personally find the 911 (996) GT2 the best looking 911 (996) of all the variations. I don't really care for any of the Carrera 911s or the Turbo version. I hate the rear wing on the GT3, it looks terrible in my opinion. The GT2's rear wing looks great, it flows with the car very well. I also like how the side intake gives the side profile of the car some character . . . all the other 911s (996s) look rather bland from the side. Plus with a Porsche you get a car that is more proven in racing than anyother car in the world, just look at how many times it has won overall at Le Mans. I sure would love to own a Dauer 962 Le Mans Porsche . . . what an awesome car!!!

Oh, so that's why... Sorry, i didn't knew. I just saw some letters and numbers, i don't have many knowledge about stuff like that.

I understood you thaught i actually meant the GTS-R, while i was talking about a modified GTS... Man, where were my thaughts at that moment :S ? I made quite a few mistakes there.

Yes, i know about the GT2. When i think about it, they could have actually made the GT2 more special, do more than only produce it in limited numbers and give it some GTS-R looks. But that's just my opinion.

I was thinking that because most people see more RT/10's that GTS's. I do as well.

And jeah, you're right about the Carrera GT, but not completely about the Cayenne, i think. You can definately see difference between the Carrera GT and the rest. But, a Cayenne is just a MPV-shaped 911 body on another chassis. The lights, grill and bumper are almost completely 911-like. The rest is just more fit to the MPV-style. Atleast, that's what i think.

Haha, yes, the 962 would be lovely indeed. But choose a 935 over a 962, though. It looks so more mean.

Dave

The Ferrari Enzo is one of, if not the most, ugly sportscar to date. And i know 99% of all people are now going to call me names, but i'm serious, that is how i think about that car. I'd rather, much rather own a Viper.
