Set auto and final gears first, then set second gear to 2.362. This is to stop the rear tires breaking out on slow corners. Tested on all tracks. But only recorded laps for Midfield 1:00:955 and Laguna 1:09:928.

Dood,

Your Setup's rock, been using all of them, however the setup for this has it **REALLY** light in the back end, tap the throttle and it just steps out. Any way to fix this??

Yep, you can get the car more controllable if you increase TCS to 2 or 3.
But the car won't be as fast.

Fast enough!

This is an incredible setup, but I had to get pretty heavy on theTCS and even add two clicks of ASM to get the rear end to behave. If this is theoretically slower, then so be it, because its fast enough to beat the Toyota TS020 GT-One Race Car in a Pro League race.

I used the Astra (with full engine upgrades) in the individual race on Grand Valley in the Gran Turismo World Championship race. I was up against the Big Three: The Toyota, the Mazda 787B, and the Nissan R390 Race Car.

I led the race for 6 laps until the Mazda and Nissan got by. I then managed to hold off the Toyota to the end, leading it by two car lengths across the line.

The Astra absolutely kills those race cars on braking. The turn-in ability is hard to believe. I can just dive inside them, slam on the brakes, and stand on the throttle. I'll gain three car lengths on them in the tight hairpin. I gain another three lengths in the long right-hander through the tunnel, and another length in the left-right tight combo before the main straight.

This setup is almost as fantastic as your C5R config, which is so fast I'm still learning how far I can push it.

Hehe, thanks.
TCS and ASM is theoratically slower, yes, but is also more forgiving. So you will make less mistakes more of the time and allows you to drive fast most of the time.

Lower TCS & ASM, in the right hands can be faster, but less of the time. But it is faster.

Sounds like you had an epic battle with the big 3 Le Mans cars.

HI all!

Regarding those settings; It might be because the US version is diff to UK???, but in that setup the Gears are set to Auto 39 and the DForce is set to 1.00/1.16.

Well the Opel Astra Super TC I have (and theres only one in the game i can find :P) cannot go to Auto 36 on gears - only up to 25 and the DForce starts at 23 front & rear and goes up to 38 front and 53 rear with no decimals - ie 1.25 etc.

Anyone know what i can do? Cheers

These settings are for the GT3 version of the Astra. This site will be completely updated for GT4 very soon. The founder, Kerr, is slaving away, but he's a one-man band, so it won't get done in a weekend.

This suspension setup seems to work great in GT4, as well. Just use the different Autoset and Downforce scales of that game instead.
