This is an incredible setup, but I had to get pretty heavy on theTCS and even add two clicks of ASM to get the rear end to behave. If this is theoretically slower, then so be it, because its fast enough to beat the Toyota TS020 GT-One Race Car in a Pro League race.
I used the Astra (with full engine upgrades) in the individual race on Grand Valley in the Gran Turismo World Championship race. I was up against the Big Three: The Toyota, the Mazda 787B, and the Nissan R390 Race Car.
I led the race for 6 laps until the Mazda and Nissan got by. I then managed to hold off the Toyota to the end, leading it by two car lengths across the line.
The Astra absolutely kills those race cars on braking. The turn-in ability is hard to believe. I can just dive inside them, slam on the brakes, and stand on the throttle. I'll gain three car lengths on them in the tight hairpin. I gain another three lengths in the long right-hander through the tunnel, and another length in the left-right tight combo before the main straight.
This setup is almost as fantastic as your C5R config, which is so fast I'm still learning how far I can push it.
