Tested this LeMans car on Laguna, getting 1:06 consistently. Good drivers will be able to get lower times.
Update- haha, decided to tune the 787B like my F1, and it paid off, the car handles well, and is FASTER, but still need to be very careful with low speed acceleration, the back WILL slip on you if you mash the button.

Hey Fumes, thanks for the setups for this car and both of the Benz's. I'll try all of them out as soon as I can and tell you what I think of them.

no offense...

but did you try my settings?

I've got some good validation on mine racing against the F1 cars with this non-F1 Le Mans car.

1'06's aren't bad, but even the C5R can do 1'07's at Laguna without too much trouble at all...the 787B, as sweet as she is, should kill those times.

Hey bruasGT did you read on the setup notes where Fumes wrote he was getting 1:06:xxx's consistently and especially the part that said better drivers could get lower?

Hey vroooom, even though Fumes hasn't said what his favorite five cars are to drive, I'm just curious, what are yours?

Gillet

Sounds like a good choice of cars. The 787B is just an awesome car. Wish I had a setup for the Astra because I would like to use it more. I haven't tried the Benz since Fumes posted a setup on it, but I'm fixin to get around to it. That time sounds pretty good with the Gillet, I'll have to see what I can do with a stock one. And the Tickford, I haven't ever really had the car, so I haven't used it much either . . . but I'm sure it's a great car.

Ooo favourite car topic :-)

It's difficult to choose. Especially when the criteria is so wide. Racing/non racing is a big difference. Drivetrain FF, FR 4WD, I got favourites in each. But not counting the F1 cars and including non racing cars it would have to be ...

1) Denso Sard Supra / R390 GT1 LM Race Car (tie)
2) Altezza RS200 (for non FR race car)
3) Oreca Dodge
4) Mines Lancer EVO 6 (4WD non race car)
5) Mitsubishi FTO GP version R (FF non race car).

It's easy picking good race cars, but there is not much fun it. Put a non race car into a race with race cars and win ... priceless.

Favorties: (1) Corvette C5R - absolutely love this car (wish someone would try my setup out for it . . . lol) (2) Peugeot 206 Rally Car - great rally car, very consistent, fast, and just overall fun to drive (3) Tommy kaira ZZII - IMHO the best 4WD car in the game and is just a beautifully fast car (4) Nissan R390 GT1 LM Race Car/Mazda 787B - both are very fast and great cars (5) Lotus Motor Sport Elise - fun, fast, and handles exceptionally well

problem

i had a small problem with the wheelspin in the first gear for this car. so what i did was lowered the ratio on the first gear all the way down, which wasnt even that far, and it made the car perfect, the rest of the setup was great, though.

Hi All,

never satisfied with one good setup, I decided to go for a better setup.
Following my F1 tuning techniques paid off in the 787B.

Widen 2nd gear a bit to reduce wheelspin.

The car is stiffer and responds much better. High speed corners have been improved over the last setup.

The car is FASTER, but a word of caution, it also means the car's slip is increased. And if you are over zealous, the rear will step out, countersteering is great in this setup to correct oversteers. Alot more concentration is required with the acceleration out of corners.

Midfield in 0:57:125. Laguna is now at 1:01:958.

Turismoboy,

I have not tested top speed on this setup yet. So I don't know what it's max is.
But if you do want to try, all you need to do is, decrease downforce to minimum, increase auto gears till it stops reaching the rev limiter, increase ride height by 10, decrease spring rates to 10.

What version of GT3 do you have? The NTSC or PAL version?
Because the Lambo is in the NTSC, but not in the PAL version.

The American version is the NTSC version, that mean you should be able to get that car.
Likewise, I think you can get it via sharkport as well, but I don't know anything about that, as I don't use one.
