Who is getting GT5 Collector's Edition?
Updated 10/11/2010 6:04 PM Post a reply Quote this post View Kerr's info
I just pre-ordered my copy of Gran Turismo 5 Collector's Edition today from Amazon. I was on the fence about ordering the standard Gran Turismo 5 vs. Gran Turismo 5 Collector's Edition, but ultimately for me I like the fact that a few of the sweetest cars on earth will be included, and the die-cast model is cool for me. The extra literature wasn't a deciding factor for me, though I'm sure I'll read through it! What is everyone else doing?

Already ahead of you when it come to cars thanks to GT PSP and GT5P. Besides that what's your PSN username for online gameplay? Mine is mc_polo
Have fun while you race others. If you don't why are you racing in the first place?

I got the collectors edition thru gamestop. Do you get 5 extra cars because I'm confused what gamestop was telling me I get two extra with the 5 black ones...

One thing I'm sorry if it's off topic but is the site going support GT5 and if not, is there a way I could help?

@adeadsnipermatt - I'm not sure on the Gamestop offer, but the 5 extra cars are simply from purchasing the Collector's Edition. Some retailers are offering their own unique extras on games these days, as I have noticed with BB, Amazon, and Gamestop and their unique offers for Rock Band 3 pre-orders.

I have to get my hands on GT5 before I can see how much work is involved with updating the site for GT5. If the tuning system isn't much different, it will be a matter of data collection for the 1k+ cars, which in itself is a gargantuan task. Basically, we have to catalog every single option available for every car. That usually means someone has to come out with a save that has all cars, as otherwise it's damn near impossible to actually play the game and get all the cars in a reasonable amount of time. Anyway, lots of planning is needed as you can see, but I will keep you in mind when it comes time.

@DjWess - I have GT5P too, but I'm not familiar with details on bonus cars from that one. I'll look you up.

It's official: GT5 is delayed until "the holidays".

@ Kerr,

Kaz basicly said that the 800 standard cars are ported from GT4, with a bit of luck that would mean "only" 200+ cars to colect data on to update this site.

Greetz Zeratul.

GT4 at 99.4% guess where I'm stuck at?

There is a lot of bitching going on over at GTP about the standard cars vs. premium cars. I see the points in general, though I want to see the differences on my TV with my own eyes. The rehash of so many cars from previous games is getting tiresome for me though.
