I don't want to come across as overly curmudgeonly about this as the next instalment of GT is an eagerly awaited thing but ...

... oh look! One Aston Martin and FIVE Skylines.

Some things never change it seems ...

Wasn't there a manufacture named Toyota? I could have swore that I heard that name before.

Agreed - the preoccupation with Nissan is clearly something PD hasn't grown out of. I used to love Skylines because they are so rare here in the US, but after having played GT a lot, to me they are like driving a Ford Escort/Focus/whatever as they're so common in game.

It's not all bad. At least we have some Ferraris to play around with.

SCEA is slowly building up their info around GT5 Prologue. They are starting to add pictures to their car list, for example.

Find it all here.

Yes indeed, I can't wait to get my hands on one of them Ferraris. In addition, I suppose I will waste 39.99 on the PD GT5 Prologue download version just to get my fix, in anticipation of the real deal GT5 hopefully a few months later. Furthermore, I must admit I love the GT-R V-spec's, but I am thoroughly amazed the lack of respect for Toyota. It reminds me of PD's lack of respect shown to Ford and it's Race GT-40. You know, the AI drivers they put in the Race GT-40 that drives like Mr Magoo.

Nice. It is frustrating for me though when they omit the basic stats like Drivetrain and Max Power. The drivetrain is simple, but max power has an effect on things like the Advanced Car Search in GTVault.

I take it you were able to edit your original post?

I'm picking my copy up at midnight on the 27th march, or a few days before depending on if a mate of mine can get it early or not. Can't wait!

I have to say tho' that, unless the costs come down considerably, I shall be switching my driving 'allegance' to a PC sim.

I bought a PS1 to play GT1 and then GT2. I bought a PS2 to play GT3 and then GT4. In each case I waited until the pricing dropped to something I could stomach for the priviledge of playing one or two games.

At present, with the need for a HD TV to see any significant improvement, the PS3 is just too expensive.

Add in the fact that GT is getting further and further away from what I want out of it (Dr1fting ... for Gods sake!) and that the engine has too many compromises and flaws (caused by the hardware limitations) and I can see that I shall shortly be playing GTR rather than GT5.

Kerr, I would also thank you for the great job you do with GTVault Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Nod

I have been back in the United States for about 6 months now, "KISS THE GROUND AND KISS THE GROUND AGAIN !!!!!."
I have not turned a wheel on my Logitech DFP for over a 1 1/2 years now. Matter of fact my Logitech DFP didn't even make the journey back home and I will have to purchase a new driving wheel. I have been out of the loop and have had no time to purchase any new games or game consoles. For example, Fonza 1 and 2 ? I don't have a clue. Until recently, I just purchased a PS3 in an anticipation for the new release of GT5 Prologue and GT5. Leading to my question, and I apologize in advance if you have already answered this question. What do I have to look forward to with GTVault and GT5.
Great job again Kerr, GTVault is #1 bar none.

Vimana - how's it goin? I am not sure what we're going yet for the proper GT5 release as that's a few years down the road, but I am working now to get updates in place for GT5 Prologue (NA edition).

Well I got GT5P on Thursday afternoon, a day before release date here in the UK! And if GT5P is anything to go by then the full on version of GT5 will be fantastic!

Wining races online isn't easy but even if you don't win you can still pick up price money to use in the game for coming in 6th place Thumbs Up

GT2K - awesome, I'm glad you like the game. As everyone knows, I was thoroughly frustrated with what I felt to be the lack of progress in GT4, so I have hopes that GT5P gets me out of this rut so to speak.

Out of curiosity, how much prize money are you picking up for coming in 6th place?

Its not much but I think I came out with around 800 in one race. I think that was finishing in 4th Place. Its hard to win online, I've not managed to win yet anyway.

Did anybody note that they are soon going to put the damage modeling in prolouge via online updates? Big Grin I'm totally waiting for that so I can enjoy even more of what a great game this is. The Ferrari Formula 1 though is kinda overkill.
