This car was a tricky one...it took me forever to tune.

I got rid of the "controlled drift" driving style by adding R5 Tires...this car is also a tricky one to drive...705 Hp is hard to control!

I tuned this car so that you could brake as late as possible, so coming into a corner keep the car straight and under control, or else you WILL go off the track or crash!

Coming out of a corner steadily lay the power down or else you WILL experience tremendous OVERsteer!

Once you get the trick of driving this car you can master about every track this car is raced on!

I did a couple practice laps at Apricot Hill Raceway and I was able to lay down a 1:17.617...

Let me know if you have any problems...

Have Fun,
Speedfreak

Speedfreak, nice tune.
I have never really liked American cars due to the massive weight most of them have, but The C5 was the first car to change my mind. I just can't tune the thing... Do you have any advice on how to get it right. I always end up with a rubbish car, understeers, and doesn't acelerate as well as it should. Hope you can help,
StigsTC

Hi Stigs,

When your tuning a highhorepower corvette I like to use lots of camber to keep the rear form sliding out...I also like to use a few pounds of rear ballast to help rear-wheel traction. You can also use soft tires to help with grip...To deal with under- steer keep the rear spring rates and ride heights lower than the front and keep the brake balance relatively even...

The same theory's apply with lower-horsepower 'vette's, but with lower values.

Hope this helps,
Speedfreak

hi, um i think i need some advice. My land rover range stormer is the only car i use and it will understeer until youre going about 25 mph. Can you help? (i have tried several times to tune it, Road setups arent my thing, Hence Slideways)

Ok, this may not be the kind of advice you want but I hope it helps...Part of the problem is the range stormers excessive weight...Do you have the stage 3 weight reduction installed Question?

Also this vehicle is AWD ( I think )...That could be part of the problem as well...

Anyway to fix understeer keep the ASM and TSC as low as possible because they induce understeer. You can also adjust the VCD to throw more of the cars power to the rear wheels...( however this may cause oversteer...but you're an experienced GT4 drifter so that shouldn't be a problem )

Also you can try adding negative toe to the front tires and positve toe to the rear tires.

Does this car have more than 450HP Question? If it does not than DO NOT use LSD because it too induces understeer!

A lower front ride height and higher rear helps also. Thats all that I can think of now...If you have any questions you can post back, or go to the tuning guide located in the navigaton section of every page.
