Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial Demo

The new GT demo went live a few days ago, what do you guys think?
My best times so far have put me in the top 800 people.
Normal Time - 1'52.171
Tuned Time - 1'39.037
Combined Time - 3'31.208
Last but not least I'd like to take the opportunity to say.....

Normal Car: 1' 49.885 - Ranked # 131
Tuned Car : 1' 37.387 - Ranked # 113

GT2000? Isn't your tuned time 1' 39.037? Your combined time total adds up that way. Typo maybe?

I actually beaten all misions including mission 34 in the american version of gt4
100% done with all cars. All gold in all Licences.
100,000 A-SPEC points and 8,000 B-Spec points

Hey all,
don't want to seem ignorant (but its too late) where can I get this and at what cost. Its time I started using my PS3, I bought it with the intention of getting GT5, but I can't wait. Right now my $500 is going to waste, please help!! (Australia = over priced gaming equipment and games)

I haven't done anything with my PS3 yet, but NOW I WILL!!!!!
Now lets see how different GT5 is to GT4... I never got prologue, way to expensive for a prologue, not worth it. (in Aus...)

Normal Car 1'58.xxx Ranked 3540 LOL
(I ran the car as is for 3 laps) a bit of work to do here... 8 seconds worth of work!!

You guys are kicking butt! I've only messed with tuned car, and for only a couple laps, and I was at 1'44 something.

As far as I can tell, there isn't a damage engine implemented in the demo. Granted, I only tapped the wall once at high speed, but the only thing that happened was my lap time was excluded from the rankings.

The demo has no damage. First thing I did was test this theory, end of the main straight, full speed head-long into the wall... no issues other than my lap being disallowed... I have one issue with the system already, hitting the wall on the last corner, sees your current lap disallowed, as well as the next one. You can't actually make time by using the outside wall... anyway, it was only a 1'53.7 on the next lap 
Kerr, 1'44 will probabley see you go to the 1'30s, if you put an hour down... I better go back and improve some times!

no walls to run off of...........the ai cars are really gonna be screwed,....oh wait they probobly wont charge them. just like in the rallys in gt4, ai hits me and i get 5 seconds for it

@griffinforrest - you are so right, racing with the AI cars in GT3 was about as pleasant as being bashed upside the head with a ball ping hammer.
@stigs - I'm hoping so, as far as the times go. I haven't had a chance to play much in the past couple days, but I'm definitely going to get some time in this weekend.
@dawg40011 - nice color there!

Not much tuning available....... Steering on Professional.... "Zero" for tractrion control,...., Racing line ON, and remeber "smooth is fast" ........... and yes, I'm using a Logitech G25 on a home made racing stand that slides up in front of my "Lazy Boy"......... comfy racing.
Note: Download the replays and/or ghost cars from the fastest driver, (GTP_timeattack) here in the States, and follow his lines,....... I picked up over a second and then some that way. Good luck, Brian
